Crown Estate Garden

Rear garden of 1970s modernist house in Victoria Park, London, E9

Features of this garden designed for a house on Pennethorne Close in the Crown Estate in East London, include a patio made from Staffordshire blue bricks by British brick mill Ketley laid on edge and combined with dark grey limestone slabs sourced from London Stone, raised plant beds with a painted rendered finish, a bespoke handmade garden storage bench and slatted trellis.

A multi-stem Betula pendula offers a focal point for the garden, while Trachelospermum jasminoides inhabits the trellis, while mexican daisies combine with ornamental grasses such as Briza media and Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Goldtau’.

Two Hee Lounge chair designed by Hee Welling and manufactured by Danish design company Hay offer relaxed seating in the garden, while a teak slatted table and metal Jardin du Luxembourg style chairs offer space for dining outside.
